The Voice Arts®️ Awards Gala will now take place next year, on Sunday, January 18, 2026. This was recently disclosed in a LinkedIn Post by co-founder and vice president of the Society of Voice Arts and Sciences (SOVAS), Joan Baker, and across all SOVAS social media handles.
Organizers of the event, SOVAS noted that the new shift in date is to ensure its national and global community enjoys greater accessibility in alignment with its mission of inclusivity and excellence. The move, according to Baker, also allows award organizers ample time to realize one of the most exciting developments in Voice Arts®️ history: the launch of the #JamesEarlJonesPrize.
“We are devoting the time and care needed to develop this honor into a legacy befitting one of the greatest voices and cultural icons of our time. The January celebration gives us the space to do just that, with the depth, grace, and global impact it deserves” she said.
As a result of the new date, the Voice Arts®️ Awards entry deadline has been extended to October 9, 2025, giving creators around the world the opportunity to present their finest work.
