Award winning Nigerian voice over artist, coach and podcaster, Tolulope Kolade a.k.a Tcode has emerged winner of the international scholarship to attend the world’s largest and longest running voiceover conference, VO Atlanta.
Anne Ganguzza, american top voice actor, coach and organiser of the scholarship, @aganguzza made the announcement via an Instagram live to a much elated @tcode_70.
Ganguzza lauded the recipient’s dedication to mentoring aspiring voice actors and developing the local voice over industry, which contributed to making him stand out and worthy of the highly coveted scholarship.
In her words, “I’m so excited to be able to break the news to you. I run the scholarship and we were just so impressed with your story, and with the possibility of you being able to get something out of this conference and bring it back and pay it forward… because that’s just who you are…”.
Unable to mask his delight, the 2021 Nigerian voice acting contest winner thanked the VO peeps scholarship organisers for the honour and for making his dream come through.
He said, “My dream is to be able to attend events like this, listen to these conversations and then come back home and speak to the industry leaders, and see how we can move things forward…”
“there’s a lot happening for instance with NAVA, with the AI, and I wish I could just be in the same room with people like Tom, and yourself (Anne), and hear how you go about these things. I am just so excited and grateful. This means everything to me.” He added.
VO Atalanta conference, dubbed the voiceover industry’s most comprehensive, educational and Networking event will hold next month between March 20-23, 2025 in Atlanta, USA.
