The Media Entendre Arts Alliance (MEAA) has issued an open letter to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, condemning the company’s use of Australian creative works to train its AI model.
AAVA, as a strong advocate for control, consent, and compensation in AI training, MEAA has raised concerns over the unauthorized use of human-created content in artificial intelligence development.
The Australian Association of Voice Actors (AAVA) also made its stance clear in the letter, emphasizing its commitment to ethical AI training. In the statement, AAVA stated:
“We strongly advocate for consent, control, and compensation in AI training, particularly in the creation of synthetic voice clones.”
