From radio commercials to audiobooks, animation, gaming, and beyond, African voices have continued making waves globally. Hence, the African voiceover industry has announced plans to host this year’s Africa Voiceover Day on May 5 to celebrate this impact.
It was announced in a recent statement issued on April 8, 2025.

This year’s celebration with the theme “Spirit of Africa: Celebrating Heritage, Building the Future” is seeking to unite voice actors, coaches, producers, and enthusiasts from across the continent in honoring the power and potential of the African voice.
According to the statement, the theme appreciates Africa’s rich cultural tapestry, linguistic diversity, and storytelling heritage while spotlighting the future of voice acting on the continent.
Moreover, following the success of last year’s virtual gathering, the event’s organizers also announced that a special pan-African webinar will be held on Africa Voiceover Day 2025, featuring key industry leaders from across various African countries, converging to discuss growth, collaboration, innovation, and representation in the global voiceover space.
